Reflexology and holistic living
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a science with the understanding that all areas of the body are mapped out in the feet, containing over 7200 nerve endings. When different pressure points are pressed on the feet, a nerve signal is sent to that organ that it corresponds with. When this happens, that pathway starts to wake up and begin working the way it was designed to. Reflexology works to stimulate what already is in place, just simply out of balance, through gentle noninvasive techniques. This encourages toxins to move out of the body, and to get blood and lymph flowing correctly. This brings about a state of homeostasis, or balance, throughout the whole body.

Before your appointment you will be asked to fill out a 'Client Intake Form' and a 'Medical Information Form' (prior to appointment)
When you arrive we will review it and decide on the best plan to support you!
You will settle onto a massage table with socks and shoes removed. You will be asked to remove any jewelry on your feet, which will be safely set aside(next to you) for when your session is completed.
You will have an option for a light blanket. I will cleanse your feet with warm towels before I begin releasing tension in your feet.
I will work your feet using different techniques and pressures, and if you are experiencing any discomfort, I will adjust accordingly. I will be applying pressure on specific points to bring balance and to encourage energy flow and your body's innate ability to restore homeostasis. You should be able to relax and unwind during a session, perhaps fall asleep, which is a huge compliment.
Because a reflexologist should be aware of existing physical conditions, I ask you to fill out the 'Medical Information Form'. You acknowledges that reflexology is not a substitute for medical examination or treatment. Your understand it is recommended that you see a physician for any physical ailment that you might have.
You understand that the reflexologist does not diagnose, prescribe, treat, nor cure any illness, disease, or other physical or mental disorder. Likewise the reflexologist does not prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals, nor do they perform spinal adjustments.
